History
The owner of Click for Cattle, Wade Sanders, grew up in a large family. The original Sanders and Johnson farmland was divided upon the death of his grandfather. Wade started buying cattle in 1987. He wanted to run his cattle on the original land of the family; therefore, he started buying back the family farm piece by piece. This land makes up Crosswinds Plantation. Some of the land in Crosswinds Plantation was purchased from neighbors with adjoining properties. Wade strived for land and wildlife conservation practices so he reforested some of the land into plantation pine. He also reclaimed cultivation land into grass and hay fields after he stopped row cropping in 1995. Then his quest began to improve cattle appearance, cattle genetics, and quality of beef.
Objective
Our objective now is to help improve markets for cattle. We want to help the marketing ability of family farmers by giving them the option to advertise their cattle for free on the Internet. Giving producers more options to buy and sell cattle, horses, land, and feed will increase their overall profit. It reduces the hassle and cost associated with traveling to look for potential cattle interests. By listing information on the classified, the buyer can be informed of the appearance, quality, and cost of the product before committing to contacting the seller. The classifieds also prove to expose the cattle to a wider range of potential buyers outside the seller's region.
